How and when do I use the curling attachments?
Put on the curling attachment to create curls or waves with less heat. This attachment uses air to gently envelop your slightly damp hair and dry it there. In our styling instructions and videos, we show you step by step how to use the curling attachment to best effect.
I have straight or wavy hair. How can I make my curls last longer?
- Get your hair ready for cool curls, use lighter products such as curl serum, curl mousse or a suitable texturizing spray for your hair type.
- Before curling, make sure your hair is slightly damp (80-90% dry).
- Use a high temperature and plenty of airflow.
- Hold your hair on the attachment and let the heat and wind pass through for 10 seconds.
- Before releasing the curls, press the cold button and hold for 10 seconds.
- Repeat the combination of 10 seconds of heat with lots of air and 10 seconds of cold button until the hair is completely dry.
- Untwist all the curls up to the roots and pin them in place while you style the rest of your mane. Leave the curls pinned until they have cooled down properly.
- Let the curls cool down completely before running your fingers through them.
- Fix each finished curl with a dash of hairspray.
How do I achieve more even curls?
Make sure that the separated strands are the same size. For example, if you find that 2.5 cm wide strands look best on your hair type, make sure that each sectioned strand is exactly 2.5 cm wide. Section off the strands so that they look square at the roots. Within the strands, the hair should be approximately the same length.
I have difficulty wrapping my hair around the attachment. What can I do?
- It's best to use a smaller section of hair for winding.
- Experiment with different levels of moisture in your hair. The optimal moisture level can vary depending on your hair type.
- Grab the strand either closer to the ends or closer to the roots to hold and wrap it better.
- Make sure to position the attachment behind the strand of hair so that the ends wrap around the center of the attachment.
Any tips for fine or straight hair that is difficult to curl and style?
- Before you create your curls, use light products such as curl serum, curl mousse or a texturizing spray.
- Try using smaller strands to make it easier to wrap your hair around the attachment.
